Our Story

Welcome to a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel housed within a beautifully restored 1920 landmark in the heart of Uptown New Orleans. Originally constructed as a branch of the historic Whitney Bank, this architectural gem has been thoughtfully reimagined into an intimate nine-suite hotel that blends historic character with modern luxury.

Throughout the property, carefully preserved architectural details celebrate the building’s rich history. Original steel beams, exposed brick walls, and other historic elements have been thoughtfully incorporated into the design, creating a distinctive atmosphere that honors the building’s past while delivering the conveniences today’s travelers expect. Every space has been crafted to provide a refined and comfortable retreat in one of New Orleans’ most desirable neighborhoods.

Each of the hotel’s nine spacious suites has been individually designed with comfort, flexibility, and extended stays in mind. Guests enjoy full kitchens, generous living areas, premium furnishings, and a residential feel rarely found in traditional hotels. Accommodations range from stylish studios to expansive multi-bedroom suites, while selecting adjoining configurations allow families, wedding parties, university visitors, and groups to create custom layouts of up to seven bedrooms under one reservation.

Situated directly along the iconic St. Charles Streetcar Line and just steps from both Tulane University and Loyola University New Orleans, the property offers an ideal location for visitors seeking an authentic New Orleans experience beyond the French Quarter.

Unlike the constant crowds and late-night atmosphere of the French Quarter, guests can enjoy a more relaxed and authentic side of New Orleans while remaining just a short streetcar ride from the city’s most famous attractions. The hotel is located directly on historic Oak Street, one of Uptown’s most vibrant commercial corridors, where more than 80 locally owned businesses are within easy walking distance. Guests can explore an eclectic mix of coffee shops, award-winning restaurants, cocktail bars, breweries and distilleries, bookstores, yoga studios, massage and wellness services, art galleries, boutiques, and neighborhood favorites that capture the true spirit of New Orleans living.

Whether you're visiting for a university event, a wedding weekend, Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, business travel, or an extended New Orleans stay, this boutique hotel offers a rare combination of history, luxury, privacy, and location. More than just a place to stay, it is an opportunity to experience one of Uptown New Orleans’ most distinctive historic landmarks while immersing yourself in the walkable culture, architecture, and neighborhood charm that make New Orleans unlike anywhere else in the world.

Your Host

I was born and raised in New Orleans and absolutely love this city. Between the awesome food, extremely unique culture and the southern hospitality, there’s no other place like it in the world. My profession is to build and renovate houses in New Orleans. I particularly love to take these 100+ year old houses and bring them back to their glory for future generations to enjoy and appreciate them as well. When I do get away, Destin Florida has always been our escape to place. My family has been going there for over 25 years and I’m thrilled to have finally completed our dream beachfront property to enjoy and rent out.
